- Modern soccer clubs can be regarded as corporate entities, with the soccer team and its successful operation at the center.
- The game analysis department is directly connected with the coaching team and employs video analysts. The task of these experts is to identify strengths and weaknesses of their own team and of opponents, both in retrospective of historic matches, and in anticipation of upcoming matches.
- Their findings are used to adjust the training and thereby raise the team’s awareness for dangerous situations, preparing for matches.
- Current systems for the support of analysts are designed for a single user. A team’s analysis department, however, consists of several analysts that are working together.
- How can we enable analysts to work collaboratively, e.g., on the detection of interesting patterns?

- Create a web system that serves as a foundation for collaborative team sport analysis (investigate and make use of recent frameworks that allow synchronized working, e.g, with https://www.meteor.com/)
- Import already existing components of a system for the visual analysis of soccer and support interaction possibilities in a multi-analyst environment.
- Visualize player/ball trajectories
- Search for ingame situations
- Annotation possibilities (e.g., draw on the pitch)
- If enough time is left, integrate new methods and own ideas for the support of collaborative working
- Basic knowledge about information visualization / human computer interaction
