In recent years security aspects have obtained a more and more important role not only for governments, but also for individuals e.g. when traveling or working with networked computers. Many of the problems in security applications boil down to information overload issues in the data analysis process.
The goal of our research is thus to develop visual analytics methods for network security and critical infrastructures, which help to solve some of these problems by combining the analyst‘s background knowledge with modern computers’ vast processing capabilities through interactive visual interfaces.
We are involved in many research projects with European or even international partners working on security-related visual analytics applications. If you are interested in our current projects and want to find out about the results, please visit the following website.
Security Visualization Tools
During our research work we tackle various security-related problems and provide visual analytic solutions for it. Some of our research result lead to prototypes which are implemented and often published as paper publications. Visualization tools for representing attacks to large-scale computer networks, exploring network traffic using novel visualization techniques and much more.
For your convenience we try to make all of our papers available to the public without costs. Feel free to explore our security-related publications about network security, network data and other security-related datasets.
